The most likely scenario as I see it today — the one that's taking shape... President Trump, I think, by May or June at the latest, will realize that Putin is not capable of making agreements, and he'll start stepping away from the issue. Ukraine will no longer interest him. He’ll blame everything on the Europeans: “These are your problems — deal with them yourselves.”

I do not believe that there will be any real negotiations in the coming months. So far, I do not see any leverage over Putin

Can Putin hold out? How long can he last? The war will end soon. Even if it doesn’t wrap up by the end of this year, it will still end before long

If we’re talking about the war and its end in Ukraine’s favor, Putin isn’t going anywhere. It will be the same Putin with the same circle around him. He’ll continue to rule (Even if Russia loses the war in Ukraine, Putin will remain in power)

Who will control the nuclear button?... They’re more afraid of the nuclear button. Of course, I believe that Putin won’t do it (Putin won’t use nuclear weapons)

He knows that there will be retribution. It won’t be a nuclear response, because Western politicians are responsible. They won’t escalate to a nuclear war. The response won’t be nuclear, but it will be devastating. All of Putin’s military infrastructure in Russia will be destroyed (If Putin uses nuclear weapons)
