In the second half of the 21st century, humanity will live out its days without prisons... I believe people will enter the thirties, and certainly the forties, without prisons. Prisons need to be replaced. And not just with isolation, but perhaps with treatment, perhaps with socialization, rethinking the entire punishment system.
