There will always be some wars within civilization. And when the weapons for these wars become impossibly complex, dangerously complex, eventually everything will collapse. I think we have about 100 years at most, maybe 50. And we will either fall back into a completely primitive state, where we can't send any signals, or we won't exist at all.
